Border walls are pointless (look at the southern US border they climb over, through, and even under), but a beautiful hedge running from coast to coast would be nice

Time to call our citizens back and close the border, or at the very least mark the US as one of the most dangerous, if not most dangerous, places in the world. Cancel that deal they just signed with that scammy US co (saw the article earlier but forget where it was).

Why not use the Clinton defence "That depends on what the meaning of the word "is" is."

It's been a decade or so since I watched it so went to the wiki to ensure I got things accurate. In the wiki it calls the starting half of Tyler unnamed narrator. Tylers original name is never disclosed in either the book or the movie, check this basically was reading a readers digest story - "Reader's Digest article about the first person view of internal organs, called "I Am Jack's ____"." tho it should be Joe and Jill

Farscape and Fight Club. I love the slow decline in mental stability shown by the main characters. John Crichton (Ben Browder) Farscape does it so well, trying to keep it together when thrown so completely out of his comfort zone. Unnamed Narrator/Tyler Durden, just a complete nut bar that doesn't even know who they are. Would love to see this from an outside view see how he did some of the things he did, it all made a weird kind of sense til the end then I was just confused.

edit: would love suggestions for similar themed shows/movies

As a VR user, some of my games work as well as the flat games do (my god did proton do a damn good job on the flat games to the point I keep forgetting what distro I am using until I look at the "start/task bar") but some VR games refuse to load, others the visuals are extremely weird or darker than on windows (sharp light lines from ray tracing I assume or maybe dlss stuff), and some don't have the 1080p crispness I am used to on the monitor/in video playback from windows. I am confident these issues will be addressed as soon as they are able, hopefully before 10 is killed in the back alley, til then it's a duel boot for me.

Yes, I spelled it the way I did ;)

Has flatpak/snap fixed the screen lease issue for vr yet? Had to install the version off steam for vr when I set it up

I used to use linux decades ago, then stopped for multiple reasons. Now, with win 10 eol fast approaching, I have installed Kubuntu 24.04.2 mainly for VR gaming but other gaming and normal pc use as well. I have 2 devices I would like to replace for ones with full linux support(~~drivers~~ software), unless there are ~~drivers~~ software that are easy to install not requiring compilation from source. The devices are a Microsoft Intellipoint Trackball, basically a thumb driven trackball with at least as many buttons (more is better) as the image shows.

The second device is a Logitec G13

I use this for most of my flat games, and to control my video player. Suggestions for similar hardware or easy fully functional drivers would be appreciated. ie; the g13 has game profiles, stopwatch, clock, system monitor, and a few things I don't use, the trackball has all 7 buttons programmable to anything on the kb and then some.

A fun little site from our friends at Last Week Tonight. Type what you want then hit "SCREAM"

As I scroll through Lemmy, I keep seeing the same posts over and over. Exact same title (usually cross posted). Is there a way to group these posts so that we can decide which instance to interact with instead of seeing the same post 6+ times? It starts to feel like the content is just being recycled to the top of the next page.

I use the default browser on PC and Summit on my phone and usually sort by new. This same issue was starting to get to me on reddit til I left

What are some controllers that are similar to Index but are not index? Looking to change things up, needs some form of touch to grab not buttons like the vive wands.
