Firefox because it isn't chromium, and I just like it. With chromium, google controls the web. Doesn't matter what kind of wrapper a third party puts on it. It's still chromium and it's still google.

I just got way more interested in the show. Notaro and Picardo are fantastic. Whatever they do, it'll be worth it to see those two.

I'm getting peculiar behavior clicking on your boosts. Not sure what's going on. I suspect it's a mastodon issue(I'm on 4.2.10), but I can't say for sure. Once I get to the attached page, I can click the links, and everything works fine.

I wonder how bad the numbers were; if it was losing money, or they just didn't make all the money like they wanted. Sometimes you have to give things time to find the audience.

Prodigy is a bit of a weird one, and I'm not surprised it didn't catch on right away. IMO, it could've been profitable(if it isn't already), with the audience slowly and steadily increasing.
FTR, I'm old, and I love it. I was disappointed I didn't see someone, but you can't have everything

@Son_of_dad

I've only yelled at my screen once, so that's a big improvement over previous seasons.

Heh... Yea, I forgot about that. Trek isn't always the best at consistency, or perfect logic. They could still pretend that never happened, or give some hand wavy explanation for why Kira and Dukat never mentioned what they look like.

It's out there now. I guess we'll see where it goes. I'm not upset. There's been worse design decisions in the franchise :^)

It could go either way. Someone around here postulated they were proto changlings. That's pretty interesting. There's other cool ways to spin it, and lame ways also of course. Like all this stuff, I think "Ok, now what?". I hope what they come up with outweighs the fun mystery of the Breen.

He's alright. No love, but no hate either. What bothered me most was the 'Leave it to Beaver' presentation in the early years.

@maegul

I'm on the techy side of the spectrum, and I find the mastodon-lemmy interaction a bit of a challenge. It's a multi step process with some "Where am I?!" moments sprinkled in. The process will have to be streamlined for people that don't find computers fun.

@nobloat

Haven't seen unexpected keyboard mentioned. Been using that for a few months now. Lots of keys, not many other features. With a compose key, it would almost be perfect. Hackers is my backup keyboard.

Ok, so I'm trial following @startrek and I'm getting a torrent(<a bit of hyperbole) posts in my home page. How do you people that follow hundreds/thousands handle this? Just ignore most of what flows down the page?

I've tried to be careful curating the people I follow, and it was fairly manageable til today. Trying to avoid setting up a lemmy acct, but StarTrek is only gonna get more active, and there's more to life than StarTrek :^O How to manage?
