Bearings are smoothest when they are worn out. So if you have replacement I would just change it.

This is maceration not fermentation but I unintentionally did something similar with red currants and wine. I don't know how I made it but it was partly fermented with sugar wine and vodka (or some other clear distillate) to add more alcohol to be stable.

Found bottle few weeks ago and it was amazing, I forgot about it after I tasted it and don't liked it few years ago.

I don't like distillates that much, bit too strong for me, but basically fruit+bit of sugar+time+still and you have some eastern Europe pálenka/slivovice (from plums) or other "moonshine".

So I managed to find 80% food grade alcohol (it was harder than you might thought) and started the all season maceration.

Basically every fruit that I will get or pick I just put few pieces there and let it sit, the tasting will be at Christmas or sometime in December. First layer is red currant, I already used it for some maceration so I know it starts good.

To be honest the comparison with Trump is bit harsh.

Because of how fucked up are American politics all the populists and right wing parties are compared to him.

In fact he has closer ties to democrats in USA than to republicans. But that doesn't mean that he isn't populist, political chameleon and sometimes in his retorics gets bit to the extreme to catch most possible votes.

If you look at it from the political side that this is the basic idea of liberal democracy.

Everyone votes in their best interest and especially in proportional representation you get some compromise of the interests.

Right now at least in politics people act less in their own interest but more of what they emotionally feel like their interest.

"Does it matter if I bring it back tomorrow?"

That's also classic answer to this question at daycare.

I don't know if they still make the pins but TLDR news made them.

It's not my bike, but yeah I am surprised too that it can hold it. I had to help her readjust it few times when it fall down.

We switched bikes for a bit few days ago and hers bike rides like a tank.

Btw this can be found by just using iodine solution to test it. I think that it can be found at pharmacy. Your wort is quite dark but it is doable to test it.

Put few drops of wort on plate, on side the iodine and look for colour change on the border where it mixes.

After my bikepacking trip I will pitch the interrail to my parents. They are so excited about the places I visited but don't know how or if they will be able to get there. They (me too) don't like flying and by car it is just too stressful.

This month photo for this regular discussion thread is from my summer trip, I visited few craft brewerys and tasted local beers.

As usual share whatever brewing related - questions, recipes, successes, bad batches...

I will be away for some time (~6 months) but should be reachable. I will travel through Europe (Spain, France, Portugal, Germany,...) when I post about this in relevant community I will link it here. Keep it chill here so I don't have to worry on road.

My last few brews turned out amazing and I am glad that I will be away and they will have time to age. Otherwise I would have drink them in few months, someone told me that ciders are best after 1-2 years of aging so finally it may get the chance to survive that long.

Edit: If you want to ask me something about my plans I posted about it on !bicycle_touring@lemmy.world

Today I and my dad opened his Christmas beer with rosemary. It is great, lighter for special beer and with notes of rosemary.

This photo is from few weeks ago when I connected with few guys for homemade cider tasting. Mine ciders will be for tomorrow, and all are great.

I don't know what will be there, for now I know only 2 of the movies there. It should get 2 new movies per week, restored in the highest possible quality.

Semi regular post about your brewing adventures. Share recipes, ask questions, mishaps or successes.

I will unpin it in a week.
