Once upon a time I would have agreed with you but nowadays I see a couple bullet holes in Nintendo's feet as well. And Valve is a bit less quick on the draw with their lawyers it seems.

There's been a big revival of that genre over the last 10 years or so and I think Boomer Shooter was adopted as a way to differentiate it from your standard FPS. Turbo Overkill is very different from Borderlands which is very different from COD. You'll need a way to communicate that difference if you want fans to buy your game.

I forget sometimes that the function of a jury is to establish the fact of guilt and nothing else. Deciding appropriate punishment is not within their domain, that's for the judge.
In that context I do agree with you and I suppose I retract my earlier statement.
Fair enough! To each their own. Personally the 200 hours in between shots of dopamine put me off of that. I found myself being bored most of the time I was playing the game and supposed to be enjoying myself.
Though, that said, I found myself bored most of the time running GRifts too. Modern Diablo may just be poorly designed from the base up. The glory days of Blizzard are well behind us, unfortunately.
My mother did this. Used her disability backpay to finance a little double-wide trailer, and the plot it's placed on is like $150 a year plus utilities. Yes she lives in a trailer park, with all the associated things that come with that, but her monthly expenses are basically nothing and she owns the building under her own name.
I'd argue that's exactly who we want on the jury. Who would know better exactly how heinous the crime is than someone who lived through it?
You don't want to wear the current iteration of headsets for work. Projects are in motion to make much smaller and more lightweight ones. They're stupid expensive right now but that'll change with time.
