Oh yes, and let's not forget they're often paying cash. It took so long just to get our down payment ready for these overpriced places only to lose to a all-cash bid.

We did eventually get lucky on a place someone backed out of during escrow, during the slow season and with a lot of problems, but yeah, whole process is such a fucking nightmare. The West side of LA is particularly fucked by developers in particular.

Worst part to me, though, are rents being out of control; that's why they do it. My mortgage is 2.4k, which is bad enough, but I know someone paying 4k for similar sq ft in rent. Seriously, we need some radical change to undo this shitshow.

That's correct, she said so on one of the episodes. A shame, but you can tell the last few months were stressful to say the least.

Wish I had an answer but I have to track on my main Windows PC using Launchbox since they don't have Linux support (it's built on .net, making that very hard). Someone got it working with Wine supposedly, but meh. At least steam is automatic so Deck progress is logged.

It's frustrating since they just released a bunch of useful tracking tools too.

The only offense I tend to see cyclists is blowing through stop signs, but if you consider the ol' "rolling stop" cars as rightfully illegal, then pretty much everyone ends up guilty at stop signs.

Plus as everyone notes, it's a hell of a lot less dangerous for pedestrians if a bike zooms past vs a car (especially SUVs and Trucks, oof).

Heading is better if you accidentally read it "Trump's Head Still Missing, Presumed Lost on Appalachian Trail."

My college aged students are still pretty big on FNAF so probably not dated. Ye would be a terrible conversation starter by today's standards, though, even more so than whenever this was made, lol. "So, how to you feel about Nazi sympathisers?"

Not the news I was expecting but kind of a cool way to address a variety of issues, like obesity, imports from US, generating revenue, subsidizing a national crop, etc.

Carbrain is strong, but they're still trying to invest some in public trans. Unfortunately, I saw recently they've been pushing a public Uber alternative as a sort of last step after using a train, which I can't imagine helps.

I kind of understand why-- LA is very spread out. I was told or was because of earthquakes that we couldn't build high but that doesn't seem to be true anymore.

If it's any consolation, we haven't taken the "one more lane" thing too far, there aren't 12 lane freeway monstrosities at least.

Ugh duck autocorrect.

SMS has a character limit, although most modern phones that still use SMS will at least give you a 3/3 thing and send all three texts at once.

I already assumed Grok was in the cars, given the reports of them trying to commit suicide by train and whatnot.
