What are we going to do about it?

Sorry for the Google Translate Link. An easy alternative is much appreciated.

TLDR: Mainly good news as power generation from natural gas has dropped significantly, largely replaced by renewables, despite rise in electricity prices during the energy crisis has partly discouraged both industrial and residential consumers from switching to electric alternatives. Energy-intensive industries reduced gas consumption either despite economic challenges, but are still struggling.

[...]

Electricity generation from natural gas has fallen by 26% since 2021 [...] While some initial switching in 2022 involved coal or oil, renewables have been the main replacement, with their share of total power generation increasing from 39% in 2021 to nearly 50% in 2024. The decrease in total electricity generation has also contributed to lower gas demand, as the EU’s overall electricity consumption has declined since 2021.

[...]

While the overall manufacturing industry has remained stable (-1% since 2021), energy-intensive sectors such as metallurgy (-11%), non-metallic minerals (-15%), and chemicals (-10%) have seen sharp declines, largely due to high energy costs affecting competitiveness.

[...]

sharp rise in electricity prices during the energy crisis, which has partly discouraged both industrial and residential consumers from switching to electric alternatives. Additionally, low economic and demographic growth and the decline of energy-intensive industries have contributed to an overall reduction in energy demand, slowing down the need for electrification. This suggests that, in the short term, electrification is not yet driving the decarbonisation of final energy consumption at the scale needed to replace natural gas entirely.

Arrest of Opposition's (Presumptive) Candidate: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arrest_of_Ekrem_%C4%B0mamo%C4%9Flu

On 19 March 2025, Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu from the opposition Republican People's Party was arrested by Turkish police for alleged corruption, extortion, bribery, money laundering and supporting terrorism, particularly the PKK. His arrest, along with that of more than 100 other people, caused widespread protests and demonstrations.

Since November 2024, AKP actions against opposition representatives heated up. On 18 March 2025, Istanbul University annulled İmamoğlu's degree, citing irregularities. As Turkey's presidential candidates must hold an university degree, this would effectively block him from running for president. The decision came just days before the opposition party was set to nominate him.

No it doesn't. If Google stops supporting it, the community forks it and continues development. Has happened often in the past.

Reiner Populismus halt. Die wollen die Gesellschaft so weit zerstören bis sie leicht kontrollierbar ist. Faschismus 101

Ja! Gibt sogar Vorfälle in denen Kinder in die Notaufnahme müssen, weil Eltern ihnen das einflößen.

No. Brave builds on top of the Chromium engine which is from Google but open source.

So eine schwachsinnige Unterscheidung aber du wirst recht damit haben.

Effektiv vorbeugen und heilen mit Chlordioxid

Das ist für mich durchaus ein Heilversprechen.

I suppose they did that to make it as easy as possible to get into it. It's sad but it's just how it is.

Interesting. Haven't heard about them. Would you be ready to post a link to them into the community? :)

It's quite counterintuitive but most stuff is not an asset but rather a liability. You have to maintain, clean, store it. Messiness comes from having too much stuff. It's almost impossible if you only have things that are really meaningful for you.
