Resist: It's Time

We are still in this together, but "this" is going to be real different in the very near future. This demands a different kind of "we."

The French Resistance during Nazi occupation played important roles delivering downed Allied airmen back to safety, supplying military intelligence, and acts of sabotage.

The Underground Railroad is estimated to have brought 100,000 freedom seekers to safety between 1810 and 1850.

It's time.

LOL. Harmless as in possibly 20 years in prison for federal charges. Good luck with that.

There is no criminal action when you are saving your country, or something like this, the head of the executive branch (for this country) told the world this.

[–] timewarp@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I hate to break it to you but people are still prosecuted for crimes, especially assault against federal agents, and paint may add additional charges, especially if it has solvents or other hazardous waste. If you want to take back your country, do it by winning over the people through reason. If you're declaring a civil war or insurrection then don't be surprised when you end up on a terrorist watch list, and possibly charged with incitement to violence.

Nah, everyone should be talking like this, then it's unenforcable.

Stop licking boot plz

[–] timewarp@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Okay well when you're in jail for committing crimes remember you got yourself there for being stupid

Protest however you want. Direct your energy towards organizing against the fascists instead of wasting it on acting like a cop towards people sharing resources for if things get worse.

[–] timewarp@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

I guess you can protest behind bars like an idiot who throws paint on federal agents. Definitely will accomplish a lot that way to fight fascism.

[–] SoftestSapphic@lemmy.world 8 points 2 days ago (1 children)

That's right, sucking fascist cock is just the "smart" thing to do.

Keep telling yourself that to justify your cowardice.

[–] timewarp@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Lol all you do is type behind a keyboard lil terrorist wannabe

[–] Goldmage263@sh.itjust.works 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Resist police that are trying to forcefully stop a protest = terrorism. Nice math. Sounds like boot licking to me.

[–] timewarp@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Bringing pink paint to a protest to throw on federal officers is premeditated, not peacefully resisting. Maybe spend some time learning law. Funny you keep saying boot licking but I know plenty of kids like you and their parents all work for Nike.

[–] Goldmage263@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Lol. Spend more time learning to read and you may come up with actually creative insults. I never said peaceful and I wasn't the person that mentioned boot licking earlier.

You're advocating for people to commit crime. You go resist violently since you love jail so much.

[–] Goldmage263@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

In the same way I would advocate the crime of going over the speed limit while passing someone on a two lane highway, yes. I believe the American people have much to learn from French protests.

Edit: Or another crime example would be feeding homeless people. Just because it's a crime doesn't make it immoral.

[–] timewarp@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

So you're equating crimes that get you a ticket, which as you acknowledge sometimes are harmless like driving through a red light at midnight when no one is around, to throwing paint on federal agents? Geezus where did you get your education from? Throwing paint on federal agents doesn't do anything but get you locked up for probably several months to years. If you want to get locked up you'd at least make more sense to actually do something of value rather than to do the stupidest shit imaginable.

[–] Goldmage263@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 day ago

I'm considering paint spalltering within the hypothetical that the federal agents are aggresive and risking harm to others. People get hurt and killed with their "non-lethal" methods. I would gladly go to jail for a time if it saves a life.

Billionaires will never let you vote away their power.

Never

Every moment of every day the rich can decide to do what's best for the human race and redistribute their ill gotten gains.

The fact that none of them do while wealth inequality spirals out of control is proof they're evil and want this to happen.

The only means people have left is organized violence.
