Well its middle engliwh not old english. You can tell because youbunderstand it even a little.
This is early modern English.
Maybe, i lump all that 'cant be sure a normal american will understand but still doesnt take much work' era of english in together.
Potatoes are a New World crop. They didn't exist in medieval Europe.
And i was saying thats (corrected elsewyere to 'early modern') english, so, possibly intended by the writer, possibly not, that language indicates a time they could have had potatoes.
