Firefox is fantastic. What are you people whining about, the optional AI sidebar?
Yes. I also love Firefox but for reasons that are in the exact opposite direction of "AI chatbot integration that can only be fully disabled with about:config".
Edit: I should add that, at least for me, the "optional" status of the AI chat features in the sidebar depended on whether tabs were set to horizontal or vertical. For vertical tabs, the only way to disable AI chat in the sidebar was with about:config, and I would still prefer if such a specific feature wasn't bundled with the browser.
How come I don't see any of that AI stuff on my install? It's a regional thing? OS-based?
I'm on 141.0.3, and I can open the chat from the sidebar. There is a checkmark to disable it in the settings, but when I switch to vertical tabs (which I've been using for a bit), the setting can't be disabled like that. I could ignore it, but it's a matter of principle, too.
Same, yet I don't see any AI stuff (thankfully!). Maybe I'm missing something. Anyway, yes, screw any opt-out feature. I feel your pain.
