How the shit am I funding criminal activity when I don't pay them anything?
I'm the same as you, but there are a lot of people that pay (monthly fees I believe!) for pre-built "android boxes".
I may pay for pre-configured server space, bandwidth and a torrent client in another country
Depends on the method, but a lot of normies find these pirate websites where you stream directly through a player on their website, and here they can serve ads, i.e. get money. Pirate Bay and the like also serves ads.
strange, I've never seen an ad on piratebay or my regular streaming sites.
