Change the VPN location.

The point of having a VPN is to use many locations.

I've generally had good luck doing this. They do blanket ban the majority of big VPN data centers, but jumping around a bit for a minute usually gets around this.

Though tbh my plan for today is to wipe and delete my account and set up Redlib.

You can't log in via redlib, IIRC. It is great just to read, though. I used it all the time.

Oh yeah I know. It's for the best to stop interacting with that cesspit so I have no problem going read-only lmao

That won't matter. VPNs typically use a known set of IPs, and services like Reddit that are run by surveillance capitalism companies simply block those known ranges (see also YouTube, for example).

i tend to have pretty good luck swapping around with mullvad. eventually there's always one that works

Then explain why if I get this error, I switch locations and don't get it. I've been dodging this for 2 years.

VPN blacklists are chasing a moving target. Only truly bad VPNs with few exit servers and IPs would manage to get fully blocked across any location.
