I'm inherently distrustful of anything that is going to be installed on my computer, especially from more shadier sources (and while z-library is great, it does exist in a grey area). Is the z-library desktop launcher good? Is it safe?

Looking at it now, they haven't linked to the source code anywhere so... yeah I wouldn't trust it.

I've never used it, but curious myself what the benefits are.

Seems too easy to just hop on tor, login, and download.

IMO, err on the side of caution and just don't use it.
