Don't let [...] old people wishing blindly for the past steal it (again) from you.

But vote conservative?!

I guess we've got to the point where progress is regress and regress is progress.

[–] DarkCloud@lemmy.world 72 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Also he is literally an old person wishing for the past!

[–] WhatAmLemmy@lemmy.world 24 points 1 week ago

It'd be hilarious if it weren't real life

[–] Adderbox76@lemmy.ca 49 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Every accusation is a confession. Conservative politics 101; accuse the other side of doing everything that you are actually doing.

Sadly, young incels are dumb enough to fall for it.

It's "linguistic repositioning" at its finest.

[–] iridebikes@lemmy.world 98 points 1 week ago (5 children)

They're seriously running on anti-empathy? They're just outright saying empathy is BAD?

At least conservatives are abandoning the facade of being decent human beings.

[–] iridebikes@lemmy.world 14 points 1 week ago

The lie about immigrants eating cats and dogs still has me absolutely pissed. I cannot believe that went over with the populace. Absolutely vile.

Where is Jesus when you need him!?

[–] thijsje@social.vivaldi.net 8 points 1 week ago

@iridebikes @CowsLookLikeMaps The Sin of Empathy. Brought to you by the basket of deplorables.

[–] lobut@lemmy.ca 6 points 1 week ago

crying mccry face is saying empathy is bad?

The fact that he still has a platform is evidence we need better mental health care.

[–] HikingVet@lemmy.ca 38 points 1 week ago

Taking away his licence to practice would be a step.

[–] Bonesince1997@lemmy.world 18 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I have an older brother that has never sat for therapy but blindly pushes what this man says.

[–] Ceedoestrees@lemmy.world 8 points 1 week ago (1 children)

It's a horseshoe and Dr. Phil is at the other end. That's what happens when someone's only exposure to mental health is made up of celebrities and influencers.

The terrifying part is without the platform he'd be our mental health care.

[–] recursive_recursion@lemmy.ca 47 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

didn't this dumbass narcissist move to Florida or Texas?

[–] HikingVet@lemmy.ca 26 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Something like that. He can give up his citizenship or get sent to El Salvador for being an immigrant in the states. Either way I wish him a very unnoticed dying in obscurity.

[–] frostysauce@lemmy.world 43 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I liked him better when he was a vegetable.

Is he going to cry? Will he become addicted again (while writing books about how to overcome addiction) and need to be put in artificial coma if Poilievre loses?? Did he cheat on his all-meat diet??? So many question we don't need an answer too.

[–] breezeblock@lemm.ee 5 points 1 week ago

It's all grift, all the way down.

[–] Sunshine@lemmy.ca 33 points 1 week ago (1 children)

This is the same clown who believes in the carnivore diet…

He's happy being American instead of Canadian. That's why he wants you to vote conservative

I have been really enjoying watching the Conservatives lose their damn minds the last couple months.

[–] opi@lemmy.ca 29 points 1 week ago (4 children)

At the same time, though, I think it's important to not ignore him and his message. He's got a fucking HUGE following of young men hell bent on believing everything he says. It will make a big difference come election day. If people start thinking (which they seem to be) that Carney is a for sure thing - the liberals will lose. Complacency is real in the country. Even in the face of the threats we see now, I remain fearful that people will stay home. So, Vote. Everyone VOTE

Gross. No way.

[–] Cephalotrocity@biglemmowski.win 18 points 1 week ago (1 children)

JFC. If ever there was a poster-child for getting one's citizenship revoked...

[–] Arkouda@lemmy.ca 13 points 1 week ago

Enough of this revoking citizenship nonsense. We don't need Trump policy in Canada.

[–] HikingVet@lemmy.ca 16 points 1 week ago (3 children)

That vest doesn't flatter him

[–] cygnus@lemmy.ca 7 points 1 week ago

Seriously, it looks like boob armour.

[–] bradv@lemmy.ca 6 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Wait till you hear him speak

[–] HikingVet@lemmy.ca 5 points 1 week ago

I don't listen to him any more. Whiny kermit isn't what I would call a strong voice.

Well, he is right on the mark in the first part: go vote and talk to two friends.

Go vote, damn it! You don't like how things are going, do something about!

[–] Jhex@lemmy.world 9 points 1 week ago

Good... the idiots that listen to this idiot already will vote PP... but those who were not sure PP was Maple MAGA get another bit of proof

[–] wise_pancake@lemmy.ca 6 points 1 week ago

That poor top shelf plant!

It wants to break free!

[–] RaskolnikovsAxe@lemmy.ca 4 points 1 week ago (2 children)

The right wing needs to drop these types of people from their team. This is a cancer on conservatism that will only destroy them and everything they claim to protect. As we can see right now in the US.

We desperately need reasonable conservatives.

[–] RaskolnikovsAxe@lemmy.ca 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

What do you believe is the most important issue facing Canada, and how do you feel that Jordan Peterson and people like him are helping conservatives to address this issue?

Peterson is the godfather of woke and DEI obsession. Every time Poilievre says woke, he cements the demise of the CPC. Explain to me just why the fuck any of you care about this nonsense. What does it matter? It has nothing to do with you. If you don't want to change genders, don't do it. The more these stupid issues are brought to the fore, the more the CPC looks like the party of Trump.

Yeah no, we don't need those anymore, not now they've shown what they're really about

What we do need is progressives that are a bit more pragmatic and "get shit done" types
