Holy shit this dark humor got me good

[–] slevinkelevra@sh.itjust.works 87 points 4 days ago (2 children)

Humor is sometimes the only remaining coping mechanism. Reminds me of a post I saw a few days ago of someone saying they won therapy when the therapist needed a pause to take in their horrific story of a life.

Lemmy surprised me with this comment section. I would not have guessed the amount of religious chestnuts is so high on here

[–] ZombiFrancis@sh.itjust.works 13 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Every wave of redditor carves out more space for it.

This was the top comment for me, and I thought it wasn't going to be too bad.

Wow there are some hot takes down there.

Dark, but funny.

[–] M137@lemmy.world 23 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (1 children)

I love how this comment section goes from the top comments at over 200 upvotes to -50 downvotes in less than 10 comments (at the time of writing this). And then looking at the scrollbar not even being halfway down the page, which is a weird reaction of "man, so many idiots here, but also nice seeing them all getting downvoted into oblivion".

This is dark but funny, while it also sadly shows how many people here are brainwashed fucktards.

Utterly disgusting.

It’s “he and I”.

Wow how did you summon those people? Were they always here on Lemmy lol?

[–] peteypete420@sh.itjust.works 3 points 2 days ago

She keeps getting pregnant and having abortions.

That wouldn't be her "sending it back"

[–] slevinkelevra@sh.itjust.works 63 points 3 days ago (8 children)

Except if she means that her body is sending them back. Then the post makes a lot more sense, her blaming god for miscarriages.

To those who are having the miscarriage, it definitely can seem like it is.

[–] Agent641@lemmy.world 21 points 3 days ago

Product recall

[–] suite403@lemmy.world 10 points 3 days ago

It easily could. Religious funerals often say stuff like "were giving them back to you."

[–] _stranger_@lemmy.world 29 points 4 days ago (2 children)

Or a Texas school teacher...
