Audible, you wouldn't steal a car, would you?

The library.

Tons of books on CD, takes minutes to rip.

They also have audio books via streaming apps and digital players (like an mp3 player with a single book). With either of those you have to do the old school record the audio though, so I avoid them u less I absolutely have to.

I also do mp3 rips of videos that are mostly just lectures, where visual isn't critical.

Ditto. ABB and then use Audiobookshelf.

MaM is the absolute best for audiobooks IMO. Always have what I want, a friendly and helpful community and from what I hear the most forgiving private tracker around.

ABT isn't bad either. You get a good spread with both.

Heads up about myanonamouse - they forbid VPNs during the initial interview, although apparently they allow VPNs after that.

Something funny about all kinds of private trackers that demand you not use a VPN and reveal all sort of stuff about you. Just feels so backwards lol

very "you have to tell me if you're a cop, right?" vibes

Right? I see lots of people recommending MaM for audiobooks, but not allowing VPN during the initial registration process is a hard no for me. Oh well.

ABB is what I mostly use, going to have to give MAM a go again (didnt really do much audio books for a long while)

I use myanonamouse. Had to back then, none of the public trackers were good. Sounds like they might be better now though. MaM is the only private tracker I'm on.

If you use usenet there is https://abook.link/

There is no real automation (like arrs) for it, but for audiobooks thats not really necessary for my setup at least

Audiobookbay, but you could also try Soulseek since many people include audiobooks and audiodramas in the music libraries they share.
