She is survived by her mother and seventeen thousand sisters.

I just pictured Luke flying his fighter into the Death Star.

[–] WhiskyTangoFoxtrot@lemmy.world 14 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Seems more like that A-Wing pilot flying into the Executor bridge.

[–] Aimeeloulm@feddit.uk 10 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I'm pretty certain it was B-Wing in this case 🀣

That poor bee

[–] ExtremeDullard@lemmy.sdf.org 28 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

The bee took one for the team.

With any luck, there's a hive of like-minded bees near the White House.

[–] njm1314@lemmy.world 27 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Story is from June 17th. I thought it sounded familiar since we all read about it when it actually happened.

He deserves a goddamned posthumous award. There will never a death more β€˜billionaire’ than this. I mean this is cartoon level, over the top, absurdist level perfection.

I mean tell me, if you just saw the headline β€œMan dies after swallowing a bee at a Polo match” that your reaction is anything but β€œI wonder which billionaire that was.”

[–] idiomaddict@lemmy.world 15 points 1 week ago

It gets even more comic-book villainous- he asked his mother to slap his then wife because she didn’t fit into a dress, while she was pregnant! What a good guy for not hitting a woman though, that’s totally the spirit of that advice.

Suddenly bees seem a bit, dare I say... Sexy

Excited for some guys grandchild to see the unclassified docs about the CIA shooting custom bees down people’s throats in 25 years

According to Forbes, there are 3028 billionaires in the world as of April 1, 2025. A typical bee hive can have an average of 20,000 to 80,000 bees. I’m just saying that it only will take less than 4% of 1 hive to solve the world’s problems.

This happened almost 2 months ago. I am pleased to see all the bee puns again though.

I feel for the bee...

[–] the_riviera_kid@lemmy.world 13 points 1 week ago

Even the bees know, the 1% are at fault.

[–] BigMacHole@sopuli.xyz 12 points 1 week ago

Doesn't that Bee know you're ONLY supposed to Kill CHILDREN in Schools or Refugee Camps?

[–] huquad@lemmy.ml 10 points 1 week ago

Thought this was /c/uplifting news for a minute there!

Bees have always been comrades of the working man.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 8 points 1 week ago

When are we going to see photos of the shackled bee in an orange jumpsuit, accompanied by a 1000 heavily armed Storm Troopers?

Blessed be the bee for making the ultimate sacrifice

The Buzz bomber will never be forgotten!
