8. Misinformation is prohibited.
Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
9. No link shorteners.
The auto mod will contact you if a link shortener is detected, please delete your post if they are right.
10. Don't copy entire article in your post body
For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

Ppd coordinated with aspiring browshirt orgs around 2020. Proud boys, et al, informed them of movements of protesters and the police units.
As reported in propublica, not just in portland either, we have accepted having rw extremists running our pd's in our progressive cities without challenge.
Now it will be tougher to get non corrupt leadership with the feds and party getting involved. Not that there was a reform pd leadership movement yet.
We need non corrupt local officials to get non corrupt pd officials. The one chooses the other and the other can take down those officials 7 ways from sunday with all of their corrupt dealings.
After BLM protests, city voted to defund PPB. They said fine, we're not going to donour jobs then. The city responded by increasing their salaries higher than before. They still don't do their jobs, because why would they?
We've ~~investigated ourselves and~~ found no fault.

So far I've seen this same sort of report of federal agent escalation for here, also Chicago and Manhattan as I've scrolled various social media in the past few visits. That was without looking for the stories or a pattern.
I wonder if they've been instructed to take it up a notch across the board.

This article says security video footage shows one of the ICE agents shooting at the car as it was driving away from him.
Security footage near the scene in Franklin Park, as reported by CBS News, shows two plainclothes agents approaching a silver sedan that had been blocked from moving by an unmarked SUV. The sedan eventually reverses away from the two agents, and the officer on the passenger side points his firearm at the vehicle.

This is insane. Im not sure if they did something similar before this but it is sraight up murder.
Previously ICE chased someone in LA out on to a busy roadway where they were struck and killed by a third party driver, that's the only other murder I know of they've committed during an attempted kidnapping this year. I believe there have also been multiple instances of people dying from what appear to be preventable illnesses and a lack of medical care in detention, but I don't have exact numbers there (of course, with as much information as they conceal I don't think anybody does yet).
Yup. The US is a failed democracy so that sort of thing is going to happen.
Given the obvious authoritarian tendencies of our President, before his 2nd term, I'd say the people are getting what they voted for.

The response from the Portland PD is ridiculous, not having time to watch this video clip is the dumbest excuse possible. It's basically them saying fuck you.
This shit has been going on since June, though the brutality seems to be ramping up. But over the summer they've shot people's eyeballs with gas cannisters, beat unarmed protestors, tackled elderly people to the pavement, the list goes on.
The elementary school next door had to move because of all the toxic gas they've been deploying. The residents who live in the apartment complex across the street aren't so lucky. Maybe it's time we join ICE and then we can doxx these assholes like they're doxxing us. No law enforcement officer should be masked. Even a gas mask.
