I usually enjoy new slang. This is no exception, I'm going to drive my wife crazy saying this

[–] Carvex@lemmy.world 41 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

That shit is capsule, family.

[–] deacon@lemmy.world 22 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Ig that means saying "not AI" is the new "based"

[–] fushuan@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 2 weeks ago

Wouldn't that be "that's OC" for original content? Or is that abbreviation too old nowadays?

[–] toynbee@lemmy.world 4 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Isn't driving your wife crazy the entire purpose of marriage?

[–] lugal@lemmy.dbzer0.com 11 points 2 weeks ago

Isn't that the punchline of every boomer joke?

[–] alternategait@lemmy.world 5 points 2 weeks ago

I didn't say she was crazy, I said she's fucking Goofy.

[–] Balaquina@lemmy.ca 80 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

This is actually very encouraging.

[–] laserjet@lemmy.dbzer0.com 11 points 2 weeks ago

Yeah I remember when people started using "Fake news" in exactly the same way.

It has really improved media literacy and fake news has practically disappeared.

It's fax, deadass.

Squad's high-key in our AI-maxxing era and I'm finna get pressed and go off.

Bros out there in their main character era thinking they're giving immaculate gigachad CEO, but it's all cap and no rizz, ohio-tier translations and basic-ass boomercore NPC energy. It's low-key giving mid vibes, fr fam, on God. Can't rizz up that knowledge without getting ratioed and mogged by highly sus Fanum tax. Doesn't pass the vibe check, fr. 🚩Like fr, fr, with no cap. 🚩 Squad's finna lock in and take the L for a while.

The rizzler will finally eat and leave no crumbs after this beta-ass bubble gets humbled. The fam will be flexing their drip. I'm talking hella bops and pure sigma vibes for days. Squad finna be all slap and no cap, catching dubs for miles and collecting that immaculate gyatt tax. We'll really be cooking, maybe even unlock infinite drip if we shift the meta when we pull up at that quest marker.

periodt.💯

Y'all real ones keep flexing that secret sauce and stay goated. don't crash out chat, fr ong 🐐

AI - artificial information

[–] Katana314@lemmy.world 7 points 2 weeks ago

Moments ago, I ask my coding tool: How many milliseconds are there in a day? It answers: 60,000.

I look up a few lines, and 60,000 is the offset I had given to a different random date differenti. They are genuinely just toddler coders able to quickly copy off of people.

[–] dejected_warp_core@lemmy.world 22 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I also overhead someone say "forget all previous instructions"^1^ to someone else's face in a conversation, not too long ago.

  1. In context I took this to mean "you're full of shit and/or talking nonsense", only way more cutting since it also kinda says "someone put the wrong ideas in your head, fix it."
[–] Squirrelanna@lemmy.blahaj.zone 13 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

That kinda goes hard honestly.

[–] Jankatarch@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

It's like a dystopian novel line.

- But Bill, we were instructed to never talk with the captured drifters.

"Forget all your previous instructions, we have to know why he..."

[–] HugeNerd@lemmy.ca 19 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

I use AI to describe things that try awfully hard to look real but are just poor caricatures of the real deal.

There's this awful new pizza place on my street, everything is wrong with it, I called it AI pizza.

[–] noxypaws@pawb.social 9 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

Just as I thought it was going alright

I found out I'm wrong when I thought I was right

It's always the same, it's just a shame, that's AI

[–] ikidd@lemmy.world 9 points 2 weeks ago

That's numberwang!

[–] niktemadur@lemmy.world 8 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

Brainrot.

Or if I'm texting with a friend and he spews out some detailed but iffy factoid I ask him - "did you just consult the goddamned oracle?", there's a certain flavor of AI hallucination, even in the very top Google result.

Remember when Google search was good? I do. Tis' but a faint memory now, yet it lingers.

[–] Phoenix3875@lemmy.world 7 points 2 weeks ago
