This is just a life pro tip

Kinda like searching Facebook Marketplace for used wedding dresses, which also has a filter by size option

[–] techt@lemmy.world 19 points 1 month ago

How would you even initiate that?

"Is she still available? And I don't mean the dress 😏"

[–] Kit@lemmy.blahaj.zone 7 points 1 month ago

That is absolutely brilliant. Or engagement rings!

"Hi!"

"...hello? Are you... Here for the dress?"

"Yep! Forrr my sister! Do you want to exchange phone numbers?"

AIn't nothing shitty about this.

Depends upon who the asshole was in the relationship.

Anyone that would be attending a workshop or class like this is probably not that wealthy.

You'd be surprised. It was mostly middle class / upper middle class people. About 50/50 men and women, mostly 40s.

Didn't have any luck. :( It makes for a funny story, though.

I don't deny it but I was just thinking that if someone were enormously wealthy .... they'd be hiring someone else to figure out how to handle their money in a divorce.

[–] glimse@lemmy.world 24 points 1 month ago

When your wealthy ex-spouse handled the finances and you're entitled to 50% in the divorce, it's smart to take a class about planning

Classes ain’t cheap yo.
