No, thats what the gelatin eggs are for. If it goes near the digestive system it must be either edible or have a flared base.
I will admit to being a bit biased here (family member deals with this), but it aint always as simple as "diet and exercise" for everyone. Without careful management of blood sugar, some people just fucking drop from hypoglycemia with almost zero warning, even with implants to monitor it. Juggling medication with insurance and drug shortages, as well as diet, exercise, and blood sugar, is not something i wish on anyone.
