I had surgery today and couldn't pick up my meds at the pharmacy because my insurance uses AWS somewhere in the billing process. We had to pay out of pocket and pray we get reimbursed because they're expensive. This took 6 phone calls to find out and overall, sucked. I didn't think AWS going down could affect my damn insurance.

Kinda.

Mostly no but high school bullshit pops up every now and then. Just lame drama. It's usually one person who is known to "be that way" and starts petty conflicts, or is overly controlling and not collaborative, takes everything as a personal attack on their authority, spreads gossip, whatever. It feels like high school when all I want to do is do the work and go home.

I've had at least one at every workplace I've ever had. In wildly different industries.

The strategy of ignoring them like you would in high school doesn't work because you have to work with this person so it's about creating paper trails, CYA files, minimizing interactions, and otherwise just dealing with frustration.

God damnit I need to message my doctor. I've been trying to remember for like a week.

Edit: thank you for the reminder, now maybe I won't run out of meds. Maybe.

This functions and looks like a very well designed weather app but it just doesn't have the widget I'm looking for. Good recommendation though, I'll keep it installed to see if they update widgets.

Read the whole thing. That was wild. I think, alone, Weatherby (said together) isn't the worst name I've ever heard but all the rest is cuckoo banana pants. Based on what came out of the court proceedings that woman had some PROBLEMS.

As far as I'm aware they haven't tried EVE online. It doesn't seem up their alley as they hate PvP but maybe I should suggest it if the crafting system is engaging.

Welp I'm from this universe because she's always moved her upper lip for me.

Don't they just jack up the prices in the 60 days prior so they can show "discounts" which is just the regular price or even higher?

Edit: oops this meant to be a reply. Anyway yeah put groceries on sale.

Not me but my friend. In any game that has a crafting component they will hone in, ignore the story, and just play the crafting. If it has a marketplace they will sell their creations and basically become an NPC shopkeeper for other people.

Yes! It was a huge deal. It was mind bogglingly cool at the time.
