You cannot resurrect yourself

50 meters in radius, in any direction inclusing above or below. It has to happen within 5 minutes of their brain dying. If resurrected, all injuries that they got when they died is reversed.

Billionaire as measured in US Dollars at the moment you use the ability

100 years added their lifespan does noy make them immune to homicide or accidenys.

You can use this unlimited amount of times.

Yes. I am firmly of the belief that if we discovered imortality suddenly theyd care a fuck ton about climate change and still alive when we start boiling

Nah, 100 years of extra life (even more if they are randomly selected more than once) would give them plenty of time to exploit us all to colonize Mars and beyond in order to flee there and become emperors of a new planet, so they'd still destroy the Earth. You underestimate their shittitude as 'human' beings.

The technology to allow them to live the kind of life they would want on Mars would also greatly decrease the human impact of the climate crisis applied to earth. A mars colony fundamentally requires the ability to insulate an entire city, to ultimately civilization, from a climate more inhospitable than we could render earth even if we burned every scrap of coal and oil in the ground, and a billionaire would probably want more than just that bare minimum functional civilization to live someplace.

And you think they'd lift a finger to make that new technology accessible to the rest of us? As always, we'd be lucky to get the crumbs they leave us.

We might benefit, but only if they could not keep it entirely to themselves...

Given the events of the last 4 years I'm done with offering any benefit of the doubt to billionaires. Default judgement is 'they are evil, selfish pricks who will throw everyone else to the fire unless there is something in it for them'.

I don't think they could actually stop such a technology from being deployed on earth in such a scenario. Nor do I think they would really object, it seems doubtful to me that they would all want to go to mars, and for those that don't, trying to prevent it's use is counter to their interests.
