I see. Good to know. Is there a decent way to block ads on Spotify completely? Either on mobile or desktop.
I think revanced has patches to remove ads on a few apps
xManager spotify. It that still works...
Just use the web version on Firefox with ublock origin. Been using the free version for years. You'll get a few seconds of dead air now and then as a few ads cycle through without playing, but it's far from the full length that the ad break is supposed to be.
Super easy and still works
I'm currently getting ad-free Spotify on Android using XManager
Yoo that still works? Xmanager shut down and I can't get revanced to work. I've been running spotify with spotx on desktop
Did it shut down? I'm on their Discord server and I'm not seeing any sign that's the case. Anyway it's still working for me at least
Yoooo could you maybe dm a link to that discord server pretty please
I haven't been able to use Spotify for a few months now :^(
Is that on a specific store? Fdroid or something?
You have to get it from their Discord server or website
Wait, by "free" are you also expecting ad-free too?
I mean, it'd be nice, but no.
Who's going to pay for the infrastructure if it's free free? Are you going to be donating to them?
I don't care if there's ads. I care if I have to pay my hard earned doubloons to some random company so they can fund a genocide.
But… the ad money from you hearing the ads can fund genocide. What’s the difference between giving them your money or your attention? The money is all the same to them.
That's why I'm trying to get off of spotify. And the difference would only be that I get to keep a large amount of money.
Mobile: Use Firefox Nightly with uBlock Origin and you must follow this https://adminswerk.de/spotify-web-on-android/
Yes. Go Premium. No ads.
Simplest way. Spotify Duo here, not a lot of money per month, two accounts, works on my phone, computers, in my car. The car app is absolute horse shit, but I'm thinking of switching to Qobuz. Hopefully that's better.
