What if Donald has a worm in his brain like RFK Jr?

Even if he did, how could you tell the difference between the holes dementia has made and the holes a worm would make?

[–] werefreeatlast@lemmy.world 9 points 1 day ago

Well that didn't take long! His dementia kicked in pretty quick.

that’s right lutnick, keep people guessing as the world dumps us bonds. this is it, people: the world’s richest economic powerhouse is tearing itself apart to satisfy the fantasies of a hate-filled dotard. the collapse of the us is the most spectacular self immolation in history.

[–] cronenthal@discuss.tchncs.de 29 points 1 day ago (1 children)

That bond situation is crazy. The US is standing on the precipice and the Trump administration doesn't even realize it.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 13 points 1 day ago

You could say that about almost anything. They’re stunningly stupid people.

[–] Bustedknuckles@lemmy.world 26 points 2 days ago

Absolutely. It makes me crazy that people can't imagine what the consequences of American isolation will be. We built this position and lifestyle over generations, and every single other administration including his was smart enough not to fuck with it

In 10 years, or less, when books on the fall of the American empire, this picture should be used as the reason:

Donald Trump punchable face

[–] mski@lemmy.ca 9 points 1 day ago

That would sum it up nicely; however, It'd be unfair to not mention the 77 million Americans that voted for this clown, the 90 million people who neglected their right & responsibility to vote, and the 75 million americans who voted against him.

Voting matters...until it doesn't.

Funny how both ancient rome and modern US use lead in their water supply systems

[–] MuskyMelon@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Really??? Is that intentional?

[–] FiskFisk33@startrek.website 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I'm not sure what you mean with intentional, but intentional as in they have built pipes out of lead, yes.

That's what I meant... Fricking-A

I mean, it’d have to be pretty impressively fucked up to outdo Brexit. So far, it is!

Pop Quiz: What does Cambridge Analytica have to do with both?

Stable rules and frameworks are so 2000-and-late, markets love a little spice!

[–] Alexstarfire@lemmy.world 11 points 1 day ago

Is it gonna depend on what his magic 8 ball says that day?

Anything can be decided, paused, changed, revoked, reinstated, abandoned and never spoken about again any time now.

Volatility! A recipe for a booming economy!

[–] adespoton@lemmy.ca 15 points 2 days ago

Of course it might. And the percentages are all subject to variation depending on who wants to buy and sell stock at the time.

With the current regime, anything they legislate is only temporary
