Waking up to this was like Super Christmas.

Whichever one loses, we all win πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

[–] douglasg14b@lemmy.world 3 points 4 hours ago

Hopefully both!

I don’t know why he says this like it’s a revelation, everyone knows

[–] MaxPow3r11@lemmy.world 36 points 8 hours ago* (last edited 8 hours ago) (2 children)

I'm assuming Musk did this after he removed his own name from them.

[–] Gorilladrums@lemmy.world 9 points 8 hours ago (2 children)

He's the richest man in the world, he doesn't need to be involved with Epstein at all, he's rich enough to fund his own pedo ring

[–] AeonFelis@lemmy.world 2 points 4 hours ago

Blackjack and hookers will be among the most morally acceptable things in that ring.

[–] ameancow@lemmy.world 14 points 8 hours ago (2 children)

I am a little dismayed that the world's awareness of sex-trafficking and systemic child abuse seem to begin and end with Epstein.

Does everyone think that this kind of vile luxury for the wealthy was centered around ONE person? There are billions of people on Earth, it's not only still going on, but the ringleaders are celebrating that the world's attention is on just one dude who was caught and killed for it.

[–] Gorilladrums@lemmy.world 6 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

I think people are obsessing over this case because a bunch of rich and powerful people got publicly exposed as a part of the same ring, but there's certainly way more out there. I'm sure a bunch other politicians, billionaires, clergymen, celebrities, and a whole host of other people with influence has their own rings all over the world.

[–] bier@feddit.nl 1 points 7 hours ago

Also it's not just a rich and powerful thing, there are unfortunately also middle class and poor people that abuse children. The thing about Epstein is that it's mostly rich and powerful people that should be exposed and prosecuted. It sends a good message, even the richest and most powerful people can't get away with it.

[–] LadyButterfly@lazysoci.al 1 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

YEP. Epstein going didn't end it, it just ended one branch of it. And created a job vacancy...

[–] ameancow@lemmy.world 1 points 5 hours ago* (last edited 5 hours ago)

Absolutely, something nobody talks about, is the sad reality that there are a lot of people out there with money and power who still seek such "services" and are willing to make men rich to get it. Of course someone moved into that role and took over operations.

And as much as I would like to see these people hunted down and lowered slowly into an active volcano, I much rather see countries start going after their wealthy monsters who make these industries possible.

Allowing a select few members of society to become unfathomably wealthy is one of those things we'll look back at one day like we look back at bloodletting and burning witches.

Post the files then you fucking asshole.

[–] TimewornTraveler@lemm.ee 14 points 7 hours ago* (last edited 7 hours ago) (3 children)

this is political theater, planned and staged infighting. and the liberals are going to absolutely EAT IT UP. the reality is that Trump has always been the fall guy, the scapegoat, the lightning rod.

the ownership class utilized him to concentrate power, they use him as a distraction, and now they can use him at a scapegoat. they want to pretend to "switch teams" and get on our good side, so we forget how much they were the ones who hurt us.

when you see this, just try to remind people of that. remind them who is holding us down.

[–] nandeEbisu@lemmy.world 3 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

I don't think they have as much control as you think, I just think they're confident they can come out on top of whatever chaos he causes no matter what it is.

[–] TimewornTraveler@lemm.ee 1 points 31 minutes ago* (last edited 30 minutes ago)

what control are you denying?? it's two dudes deciding whether or not to fight publicly. that's all the planning and organization this would take.

[–] Dropper_Post@lemm.ee 1 points 5 hours ago

this guy gets it.

[–] BJ_and_the_bear@lemmy.world 2 points 7 hours ago

Divide and conquer is the name of the game. Hopefully people will wise up one of these days

[–] Aganim@lemmy.world 35 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

A big bomb would have been definite proof that Trump isn't in the Epstein files.

Stating the obvious at the other hand isn't.

[–] Griffus@lemmy.zip 2 points 8 hours ago

My thought exactly!

[–] Griffus@lemmy.zip 11 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

But... Did not everyone practically already know this?

[–] GreenKnight23@lemmy.world 1 points 7 hours ago

everyone with more than three neurons.

[–] Eldritch_Alyx@lemmy.world 46 points 11 hours ago (3 children)

The big bomb would be a paper trail showing how they rigged the election.

We've already seen the documents that say trump is a rapist paedophile.

[–] zildjiandrummer1@lemmy.world 11 points 10 hours ago

That's a massive claim, so it'll require some substantial evidence. However, there are many statistical irregularities in swing states and other anomalies that haven't occurred for 100+ years.

There are already several SMART and ETA lawsuits in a few states to demand recounts/audits.

[–] Gorilladrums@lemmy.world 2 points 8 hours ago

There's no way the election was rigged, this is 2020 election denial bullshit. The election results were in line with what the polls were showing, and it also shows in his approval ratings. The reality is that the people really wanted Trump again for some reason.

Captain Obvious and Captain Hindsight are very busy these months.

[–] Stern@lemmy.world 57 points 17 hours ago (3 children)

It kind of rings hollow when he was bringing his child around the guy while Donald wasn't releasing the files, along with being one of his biggest cheerleaders.
