... forklift?

[–] Iambus@lemmy.world 4 points 1 hour ago

Kinda like how ISIS and cartels will vouch for the durability and reliability of the Toyota Hilux.

Translation:

For when you have to move fast

The Böcker Agilo transports your up to 400 kg heavy treasures at 42 m/min - whisper quiet thanks to a 230 V electric motor.

It doesn't cast any shade on them because they have no control over the events, and is an undeniable demonstration of the vehicle's reliability. Absolutely brilliant move

[–] Obi@sopuli.xyz 26 points 13 hours ago

Yeah I have no notes, well played to the marketing team.

I'm gonna guess Lädertruk

Edit: Google translates 'ladder truck' to Drehleiterwagen

It's only a forklift if it's came from the Fork region in Scotland, otherwise is just spring ladder

[–] TachyonTele@piefed.social 13 points 13 hours ago

That's still better than their autumn ladder. Lots of lawsuits from injuries with those.

[–] expatriado@lemmy.world 60 points 19 hours ago

it's a forklift if you carry your lunchbox and it has an fork in it

[–] CommissarKrieg@leminal.space 13 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

Couldn’t be further from one

[–] Nurse_Robot@lemmy.world 40 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

ladderbeast

[–] Gladaed@feddit.org 70 points 18 hours ago (3 children)

Great, funny add. If you are offended by this, that's fine, though.

[–] LORDSMEGMA@sh.itjust.works 60 points 17 hours ago

I am slightly offended they called that a forklift

[–] lagoon8622@sh.itjust.works 26 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

Why the fuck would anyone be offended lol. The British Museum will be offended when they have to give the stuff back, though

[–] SeductiveTortoise@piefed.social 6 points 12 hours ago

A GIFT IS A GIFT! I MEAN WE FOUND IT. GO AWAY!

[–] FlashMobOfOne@lemmy.world 5 points 16 hours ago

It's a great ad.

Has to be AI. Germans don't have a sense of humor.

[–] Bane_Killgrind@lemmy.dbzer0.com 10 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

Germans have a great sense of humor, you just have to listen for a bit.

[–] ThePyroPython@lemmy.world 21 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

From what I've seen most German humour comes in two flavours: intentionally very dry puns and unintentionally hilarious dry attitude to everything else in life.

[–] python@lemmy.world 9 points 14 hours ago (2 children)

Seems about right! But like any other country, we also do the "quote old internet videos" humor. One of my current favourites from that genre is the one where a Grandma calls the Police to ask whether there was rain last night
You don't even need an english translation to understand why it is hilarious

[–] ThePyroPython@lemmy.world 5 points 13 hours ago

I have no idea what is going on but it was hilarious, thank you for sharing this, it's been a long week with car issues, me being in hospital for a throat infection, and my mother needing an operation, and the power being out all day, so thank you this has really lufted mine spirits.

I really want a translation, where's Liam Carpenter when you need him?

[–] voodooattack@lemmy.world 2 points 13 hours ago

That was funny. Poor Oma 😂

Maybe it's an Austrian reporter!

Sleeping good tonight?

[–] Tudsamfa@lemmy.world 17 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

Ah, so it was just a big PR stunt then. I will not look into this further until the news confirm my findings.

[–] BeMoreCareful@lemmy.world 2 points 15 hours ago

Honestly, I knew it all along.

[–] exu@feditown.com 15 points 19 hours ago

That's amazing
