I hate the trend of censoring profanity. It's the internet you fuck-cakes

[–] Mac@mander.xyz 23 points 10 months ago (1 children)

un-censoring should be a thing

[–] Zoot@reddthat.com 12 points 10 months ago

The red looks like it's above the meme?

Like it's piled on top?

It's hard to explain...

It's wrong in a strange way

Thank you for your efforts

[–] psud@aussie.zone 2 points 10 months ago

It is. The red is above the ducks which is above the fucks

[–] myster0n@feddit.nl 63 points 10 months ago (2 children)

When I read this, my inner voice used quacks to bleep out the profanity

[–] Bezier@suppo.fi 18 points 10 months ago

Watch your language! You can't just throw around offensive words like c*nsor

[–] dohpaz42@lemmy.world 18 points 10 months ago

I hate the fact that for the longest time, iOS would autocorrect fuck to duck. And worse yet, they touted no longer autocorrecting it as a new feature as part of their WWDC keynote.

[–] dalekcaan@lemm.ee 11 points 10 months ago

Worse yet are those stupid Tiktok-friendly euphemisms, like "unalive" instead of dead. Makes the meme sound like it's made for a damn toddler.

There's a part in a discworld book about a creator "god" obsessed with making beetles lol.

Everyone freaking out over censoring fuck when there a beetle that looks like a giraffe out there.

[–] einlander@lemmy.world 16 points 10 months ago

The cure for cancer? That too is a beetle.

[–] drolex@sopuli.xyz 7 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago)

Anyone got links to these particular species, especially the wasp one?

Don't give a f🦆k about the children either, carcinization is expected I thought.

ETA: guess what I duckduckgo'd "wasp beetle" and found it. I feel like a genius https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clytus_arietis

[–] TybaltAurelius@lemmy.world 3 points 10 months ago

J. B. S. Haldane has entered the chat.

[–] flora_explora@beehaw.org 1 points 10 months ago

Don't forget about the beetle that has adaptations to slip through the intestinal tract of its predators and make it out through their anus ;)

[–] corsicanguppy@lemmy.ca 1 points 10 months ago

Comma splice here, comma splice there.
