I wouldn't fight this.

dealt with the barrage of official and unofficial edicts trying to verify which ones are lega.

duckworth annoys me more as she is to ok with security over rights. to much military indoctrination with that one.

adding my voice to the mix. I have always advocated blocking. My experience with mmo chat taught me that a cesspool can turn into a pretty nice place with some blocking. My basic rule is subscribe to what I like and block what I don't and everything else im indifferent to. don't like sports then block those communities. like comics and subscribe to those. indifferent to animal pictures then let it lie and you will see them when you browse all.

says the .ml person commenting on .world. it does not matter what any particular places people is like unless they defederate from each other. @Tedesche@lemmy.world is talking about his experience and is likely not seperating out where users come from. in addition anyone can make a user on any open instance. I actually would like to see more closed instances that are about a particular local groups like sci fi conventions or makerspaces and such.

and then the cloud of senility returned.

man you had a tough babyhood.

yeah I would not mind an email system that would allow me to add notes without it effecting the chain. So I could still reply all and the notes would stay with the chain but no one would see them.

pictures like this is why my rp class for pathfinder is druid. the fantasy of shapechanging and hanging with all the wild creatures is just to good to pass up. may not be the best min/max class but it is sooo cool. sorry for the non sequitor.

please don't fuck up like us americans just did. I mean I did not but ugh, an aweful lot did.

So in the notes she mentions she has no idea what a tomato picker is. Funny thing is they tend to have all these gadgets or toys im unaware of so until I read the note I thought it might be a thing.

So I felt clerks was like the movie that captured the Xer feel and I was seeing a discussion of superbad and I sorta wonder if that might be the millenial one and american graffiti seems to be talked about in terms of boomers and maybe rebel without a cause for silent and maybe grapes of wrath for the greatest generation. Im grasping here. with the lost generation you have the dawn of movies but I was thinking the jazz singer. Im really not sure with Z and my guess for millenials seems a bit early but they have started making generational ranges under the 20 year standard in span I think under the auspices that things just change faster now. Theoretically Z would be coming out about now or in the last few years. What are folks opinions. Yes and I realize generations are artificial buckets so I would appreciate comments being kept to what you think the movies might be if your game to go through the hypethetical.

This is another kids one. Which given its a diary/blog comic should mostly be the norm. Im really hoping this comic can keep going as it will be interesting for it to turn into empty nesters and old retired folks at some point (you know if that is a thing decades from now). An interesting thing on the site is obby who is the dad (another funny thing he would be called the husband in my comment before the kids) and has taken the tech load including administering the site I think. Anyway he has a note that they removed the banner although in actuality they just changed it to a static thanks to the fans due to the coporate reality of the times. So they are taking a stand here that can be witnessed every day. Its funny because he mentioned they tried to block particular coporations but there are so many possible ones something was bound to slither through. I should note however that my no script still shows googleadservices and doubleclick but since they are running through a service, I assume at least, Im not sure if they really have control of that. Would be neat if they could move the archives to something they controlled themselves and change it into a redirect link.

My take is to now bake my own cookies.

This one is to far out for me to get. I think the most baby teeth lose at one time in my experience is like 2 or 3 but I did not have kids so its just friends and family for what I know.

I like todays.

almost forgot today. Looks like that two year thing with her kids is not following the seasons. Im pretty jelly of the pumpkin patch in their area.

Ugh. Really off this morning and for a few minutes this was posted to news. Anyway this is a topic that has come up every so often not only with her kids but back when she was just drawing about herself. I wonder if the swinging arms is intentional given the quote about freedom ending when you make contact with another.

I love it although granted Im mostly about the dropping out on consumerism. Really leaning into the reduce and reuse of the three R's. I recycle despite it being rather obvious what I put in is likely going to the send endpoint as the regular garbage with maybe pulling some choice metals or such. I firmly expect the these actions are useless comments as I have been seeing them a lot but its not like what I do is based on social media unless its a new idea I have not thought of that gels with me. For some reason this comic makes me think of this rem song that I am not listening to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBS6N1k4FsQ

So I often wonder about japanes cultural things in anime and especially since I watch dubbed (increasingly bad eyesight has made subbed a non starter). Anyway there is a love is ware episode that revolves around a character finding the word wiener funny but it sorta makes me wonder because in english we have that but I would assume other languages would not have the same stuff. At one point too a character is trying to get another to say it by asking another name for hotdogs or for dashhounds. It just makes me wonder if there are real analogues in japanese around this or do the writers have to decide on a different cultural thing for the joke to be around. Anyone know about this? On a side note there is the whole thing of people calling them by their last names and it makes me think about everyone walking around referring to each other like they are a student in their gym class. I wonder how prevalent using the last name actually is.

So im on zorin so basically ubuntu with gnome. Anyway I see this thing and it only happens with firefox but the switching between various windows I get back to firefox and it will be full screen size but not actually full screened so now I can see another window peeping over the top. Does not happen consistantly at all but like a minimum of once a day I notice it and click the window back to small and then full screen again to get it to use the whole real estate. Just seeing if anyone has seen behaviour like this or better yet knows something about it.

Its a well known thing that as far as I can tell everyone goes through if they have multiple kids even though they are aware of it. At least I have never encountered anyone who has mentioned it not being the case who has had kids. I guess its that way with sorta everything though. I mean seems like most professionals are more comfortable and easy going with their profession down the line compared to first year at first job.
