Women only trans inclusive This is an inclusive community for all things women. Whether you're here for make up tips, feminism or just friendly chit chat, we've got you covered.

Rules…

  1. Women only… trans women are women, and transphobic or gender critical talk isn’t allowed. Anyone under the trans umbrella (e.g. non-binary, bigender, agender) is free to decide whether a women's community is a good fit for them.
  2. Don’t be a dick. No personal attacks, no aggression, play nice.
  3. Don’t hate on groups, hatefilled talk about groups is not allowed. Ever.
  4. No governmental politics, so no talk of Trump actions etc. We recommend Feminism@beehaw.org for that, but here is an escape from it.
  5. New accounts or users with few comments may have their posts removed to prevent spam and bad-faith participation.

Y'all it's bout to be 100 degrees all next week where I am. My ideal temp is between 60-70 so I'm wilting at the thought.

I love love love layers and accessories, but that is difficult right now. So here's what I've got:

  • loose, open, light-colored cotton tops that can be worn over a tank top.
  • hats that allow ventilation but keep the sun out of your eyes.
  • lightweight jewelry can be layered.
  • I don't step outside in any degree weather without sunglasses.
  • if you're pulling your hair up, there are all kinds of bows and scarves that will add interest without adding insulation.

If anyone has tips for staying fashionable in the extreme heat, I'd love to hear them!

Brook House in west London will be a "UK first" in providing homes exclusively for women.

The idea is that single women are their own demographic, with different needs to families etc. It's partly aimed at DA survivors... let's be honest, even without DA a massive part is safety.

What's your thoughts on this project? Would you be more likely to live in a block of women only flats to mixed?

We made it through another week! Today's game is "what would you do if". One person posts a scenario, the next answers it. Either answer a scenario or pose your own below.

June is Pride Month! Do you feel you're on this scale? Or more of a mix of different ones?

I have a couple of men's button-down shirts with fun patterns.

I love neckties and bowties, though I don't get to wear them often.

I get most of my tees from the men's section. The women's tees are always cut smaller and usually too tight no matter the size.

I want to get a waistcoat.

June is pride month! The T often gets forgotten or excluded in the LGBT community. How included do you feel?

Hi friends! I'm looking to buy a fragrance and am hoping you guys might have some suggestions.

I want something that screams "peach" without being powdery or overly floral. I'm hoping for something gourmand/lactic (but not overly sweet!), fruity, or lightly floral (wearable in the daytime), or to go in another direction completely, something peach with spice, an evening scent sort of like Angel Share Paradis by Kilian (but peach instead of raspberry).

I'm more interested in perfumes, less interested in body sprays, but will give anything a shot.

Things I've already tried include Phlur's Apricot Privée, Phlur's Peach Skin, and Ellis Brooklyn's Peaches. Out of these, I like Peaches the most, but it's kind of a simple scent. I'd like something a little more complex. I had high hopes for Peach Skin but the sandalwood is really overwhelming (it smells so powdery!). And Apricot Privée is more complex but also smells very powdery and although it's spicy, I feel like it's an old-fashioned kind of spicy, if that makes sense.

And if there's not a single fragrance that fits the bill, I could try layering Peaches with something else. Maybe with Angel Share, or with an amber?

Hey all, how are you accessing lemmy and can you see the pinned post with the rules? It shows for me on some accounts and apps but not all.

Admin are being amazing (I ❤️ blahaj) and we're working on some anti trolling stuff behind the scenes. Loads of you have been doing stuff to protect our members which I really appreciate. You're an incredible bunch of people and I'm so glad to have you here

Panel 1 Man and woman in office clothes in a break room.

Man: So, if you were alone in a forest, would you rather run into a strange man… or a bear?

Panel 2 Woman: Oh, hmm… I think the bear.

Man (angry): How can you say that?

(Bear looking quizzically through the window)

Panel 3 Man (angry): You're demonizing men! It's misandry!

Panel 4 Woman: Good point. Why would I ever hear men's reactions?

Man: Exactly! …where did the honey go?

Panel 5 Woman and bear sharing tea

Woman: At least if you maul me, pepper won't say I made it up or I'm misinterpreting.

Bear: I hear you

It's frrriiidaaayyy! Today's game is simple. People comment with a word, and the next person says a word that's the opposite, or close as you can get to one. Either reply to comments with opposite words or start your own comment chain with a word.

We rightly warn each other about red flags, but what's a green flag? There's some things that really show someone is a good choice.

I've found my Halloween getup (presuming I can get it in my size!):

A mannequin displays an elaborate gothic-inspired outfit set against a shimmering silver tinsel backdrop. The ensemble features a deep red, faux leather corset adorned with black spikes at chest level and silver grommets down the front, fastened at the bottom with metal clasps. The corset is paired with a matching ruched mini skirt made of a stretchy, semi-sheer mesh fabric, gathered with black eyelets and rings. Draped over the shoulders is a dramatic black satin and lace bolero with voluminous bell sleeves, trimmed with ruffled red chiffon. Accessories include a large silver rose pendant at the neck, layered black bead chains, a wide belt with a large metal O-ring, and an ankh charm. To the left, a black Christmas tree decorated with white skulls and silver tinsel adds to the dark, theatrical atmosphere.
