Am I crazy or do presidents-elect usually not get this involved so early and so publicly? Like he’s been meeting with world leaders and whatnot?
During the 2008 financial crisis both Obama and McCain had White House meetings to try and figure out a solution, that was before the election. But I guess in that instance they were all basically on the same team and Bush didn't want to set up his successor for failure, whomever it was (McCain would've probably done the exact same thing).
You know it's bad when you look back at Bush's time in office with a sense of nostalgia...
I mean, I don't. He was terrible and I hate that Democrats are laundering his and the Cheney's reputations. It's just that Republicans have always been on a downhill trajectory, each President worse than their predecessor.

It is nice to hear when politicians are actually working together to try and solve a big problem.
That would never happen with Trump.
I miss the days when McCain was seen as right wing. He at least had integrity.
They're also not usually constitutional forbidden from taking office, but he'll be confirmed in spite of that little issue in a few days

But, eh, he's been meeting with World Leaders™️through out Biden's term, and that's really not normal either. (well. with the exception of the sitting president asking an ex pres to do some negotiating or something. That kinda happens.)
It's partially because of the previous term, it's not the same as a random person about to be president for the first time.

It's pretty hilarious that Trump voters are so psycho that even when people try to kill Trump it's still one of his supporters lol.

Imagine if you reached the point of Trump exhaustion after a month of Trump's campaign in 2015, and then learned it was going to continue for at least 13 more years.

The one thing keeping me going is that one day I'll get to wake up to his obituary. I think I might try and find a newspaper print of that and frame it. I missed my chance with Ronald Reagan.
That's a nice thought. There'll probably be at least one mainstream publication that simultaneously reports on the inevitable parties in the streets. That'll be the one worth framing.

I read through what I think is the email. It kind of sounds like some guilt and disillusionment mixed with paranoia over the Jersey drones and China.

As another comment pointed out, you wouldn't know it with all the meetings and dealings he's done since even before the election results came in completely.
With it being his second term, it's not surprising he knows what he wants to do and who he wants to meet with. It's going to be a disaster like the first term, except this time he knows what he's doing and can be an even more efficient disaster.
